  • How do I access the collaboration features in ZiiBoook?

    In My Library tab under the BOOKS section, select an e-book to read. Then, click on the arrow located on the extreme right to view the collaboration features available during reading. You can choose to send or share an e-book to your friend, or start a text chat.

  • What does Send Book do?

    Click on Send Book and select an online friend to send the current e-book that you are reading to your friend, via file transfer.

  • What does Share Book do?

    Share Book enables you to share the current e-book that you are reading with your friend, via the screen sharing feature.

    During the Share Book session, there are options located at the top left to enhance your book-sharing. You can doodle with the pen or highlighter, or even take a screenshot of what you have doodled. The screenshot taken will be added to NOTES found in the left menu.

    Your friend will be able to see your Ziiboook window from his/her PC and observe your actions and doodles.

  • Where do I view the screenshot that was taken during my book sharing session?

    Click on NOTES from the left panel. You will see an icon under the “Type” column for each note. The “camera” icon represents a screenshot captured during the Share Book feature. Click on the note to view the screenshot.

  • The collaboration features do not seem to work. Why is that so?

    The collaboration features are only available for ZiiBoook service plan users. If you have not activated your ZiiBoook service plan, go to Settings --> Account, sign in to your Zii Account and key in your activation code.

    You need to have at least one friend online with ZiiBoook to be able to click on any of the collaboration features.

  • I have contacts online in ZiiBoook but they do not appear in the list after I select a collaboration feature in ZiiBoook. Why is that so?

    In order for your contacts to be listed in the right panel, they need to be actual ZiiBoook contacts. Friends imported from other IM accounts will not be listed here. There are times when contacts information within ZiiBoook is not refreshed instantly. Click on the right arrow to open and close the panel in order to refresh the information and see your most updated contacts.

  • Why am I unable to send any multimedia books using Send Book?

    You are not allowed to send any multimedia e-books to your friend using Send Book as they are Digital Rights Management (DRM) protected which means you are not able to distribute these e-books freely.

  • Why am I unable to open the e-book with the .zboook extension that my friend sent using Send Book?

    You are required to have ZiiBoook installed to open the .zboook file format. The opened file will then be added to your ZiiBoook library.

    If you are already using ZiiBoook prior to opening the .zboook file, you will need to restart the software to see the newly-added e-book in My Library.
